A] Water and sanitation
Water distribution systems, seven (7Kms) at Kasunguni and eighteen (18 Kms) at Kako-Kyaluma.
29 water tanks [50 m3] in all primary schools, 4 distribution tanks and 3 tanks for rehabilitation
Excavation of two earth dams in Kasunguni
Desilting of one earth dam
Construction of 34 Sub surface dams
Sinking, protection and equipping of 12 Shallow wells
Support for latrines for 11 institutions and 25 public places together with murals depicting community sanitation issues

Challenges
Community needs are enormous vases the capacity and resources available at UCCS. Low and erratic rainfall, high temperatures, and poor soils of low fertility and fragile/weak physical structures characterize eighty percent of the region. Below is rainfall data for the four regions of Ukambani.
