Change of community attitude towards development and enhancement of self-sustainability and independence of thought.
Enhancement of collaboration with GOK/ public sector and other players. CCS approach to development is about supplementing public services, we approach the government and other players and we collaborate and are members in the district development committee and other public committees.
Leading the church to self-reliance and sustainability. CCS has taken a deliberate initiative in developing capacity for resource mobilisation and fund development.
Improved community leadership. CCS has a policy on recruiting and involving community leadership in what we do and the same leadership plays part in the same community.
Enhanced skills in resource mobilisation at community level. CCS is involved in training community resources persons, project committees and their leaders and this has led to well manage community programmes.
Reduced poverty level. Most of the people we work with after adopting improved food production and animal husbandry techniques have had improved lifestyles. This is exemplified by Kirinyaga, Embu and Meru low poverty index, which are served by CCSMKE. Examples are from contact farmers that have been trained in the programme and have had a multiplier effect.
Contribution in the mitigation against HIV/AIDS. Since 1991, CCSMKE was the lead organization in introducing HIV/AIDS awareness activities in the region. The usage of church structures by CCS helped to reduce the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the region.
Challenges

- Shortage funds to cover some of the planned activities. For example Maua station's fund from ACC was for short of the initial plan.
- Low staff capacity to implement PM $ E of activities.
