MSC (PME)
MSC is participatory monitoring and evaluation methodology. It is participatory because many project stakeholders are involved in deciding the sorts of significant changes to be collected and in analysis of recorded changes. It is a form of monitoring because it occurs throughout the project cycle and provides information to help stakeholders evaluate and manage the program as whole. It involves collection of significant change stories emanating from the field level, and systematic selection of the most significant of these stories by a panel. We have learnt that MSC:
Capture outcomes and impacts of the projects
Stories can be used as a learning tool because they represent actual cases in the community
Captures unexpected changes that were not planned for and very significant to the beneficiaries
Justifies the use of resources
Objective : to determine the effectiveness of results based projects by assessment of the impact of our projects to the community.
